Non-uniform day- Friday 4th April

The SRC have organised a non-uniform day for the whole school THIS Friday.  Students are asked to wear appropriate casual clothing to school on Friday and make a $2 donation.  Members of the SRC will come around to each classroom during period 2 to collect the donations from each student.  This is the first fundraising event for the new SRC team and they look forward to your support in this event.

Chirp, chirp, chirping!

Chicken The eggs have hatched! The senior Horticulture class have had a busy week taking care of our brand new baby chickens.  Our carefully tendered eggs began hatching last weekend and we returned to school on Monday to find 4 chickens happily chirping away. Students are now responsible for their day-to-day care until they are big enough to live outside in our newly renovated inner courtyard.  The baby chickens will continue to chirp away in our classroom, making lessons a little more noisy than usual.  Once they have a full set of feathers, they will be outside to enjoy the Canberra winter and we can all look forward to some fresh eggs!

European Union Visit

Visit of Dr Bruno Scholl to Mount Stromlo High School

Dr. Scholl visited the People, Power and Politics class where he fielded many questions about his employment and the journey to his current role. Dr. Kindler and the students asked many questions about this work and were fascinated at the role the European Union plays in Australia. Alastair T. gave a vote of thanks and presented Dr. Scholl with a Stromlo mug. This visit concludes a successful series of guest speakers from the political and diplomatic community to the PPP class at Mount Stromlo High School.
