Japanese News

This term Stromlo will welcome a new Japanese teacher Ms Linda Meng. Ms Meng, a highly experienced Japanese language teacher is relocating from the Northern Territory and will start with us in Wk 3. In the interim Mr Emmerson will take her Year 7 Japanese class.

We would also like to thank the McPaul family for hosting our Japanese Teachers Assistant (JTA) Mr Akihide Maeda last term. Akihide has now moved to the home of the Vandergugten family for the rest of this term after which he will go to the Clarke family for Term 4. The generosity of our local school community has ensured we are able to take advantage of the opportunity to have a JTA at Stromlo offering our students a young native speaker in the classroom.

14 students from Stromlo and two teachers will be travelling to Japan in the September holidays. We are now finalising our travel plans and getting ready for our big trip. Missed out? We are already thinking about another trip for April of 2016. Its never too early to start saving!
